Multicrystalline Modules

Multicrystalline panels are composed of solar cells with multiple silicon crystals, which are arranged in a less ordered structure than monocrystals. This manufacturing process is less expensive and yields slightly lower efficiencies than monocrystalline modules. Multicrystalline modules can work efficiently in a variety of environmental and climatic conditions. They can also do their job well in colder climates than monocrystalline ones.

Monocrystalline Modules

These panels are made with solar cells composed of a single crystal of silicon. This technology results in high-purity cells with an ordered crystal structure, which results in higher solar energy conversion efficiency than other technologies. Due to the monocrystalline structure, these panels have higher efficiency in converting sunlight into electricity. These panels are able to maintain good efficiency even at high temperatures, making them suitable for hot climates or direct sun exposure situations.

Revamping

Revamping operations in the PV industry refer to a set of technical and maintenance interventions carried out on existing PV systems in order to improve their efficiency, reliability, and extend their useful life. These interventions are usually carried out after a PV system has been operating for a number of years and may have experienced a decrease in performance or needs retrofitting to adapt to new technologies or regulations. Revamping can provide significant benefits, such as increased efficiency and energy production, improved system reliability, reduced operating costs, and extended system life. However, it is important to carry out revamping carefully and using appropriate materials and technologies to ensure the safety and proper operation of the plant.
